About me and my day care:
My name is Yvonne, my family has lived in our home in Lowell since 1993. My husband and I raised 4 children that are now grown. I have always worked with children and families from the time I was 18. My reason for doing day care is simple, I love kids. I used to teach preschool and decided to welcome kids into my home as I raised my own children. Once my own kids were in school full time it never occurred to me to work outside of the house. I love my job and could not imagine having an empty house. As far as my philosophy, I would say it is to make every child feel welcome and wanted every day and to work together with parents in a mutual goal of wanting what is best for the kids.

My Qualifications:
License # 2082951,
C.P.R and First Aid Certified,
EEC Lead Teacher Certified in all three categories: Infant, Toddler & Preschool,
Child Development Associates Credential,
Director Two certification,
Trained in nutrition and a USDA food program participant,
I have also earned many certificates in various areas of child development but my most valuable training comes from being a Mom and years of day care hands-on experience.

Type Of Care Offered:
Full time care, 5 days a week.
Part time care, 1-4 days
Summer care,
School year calendar for teachers.

Space:
My first floor is licensed, the children have a designated day care playroom and a classroom. The two rooms are open to eachother and provide lots of area for all of our needs. The back yard is also designated to the day care, it is a large area fenced in and set back off the street.

Meals:
Meals and snacks are included in your tuition. I am a proud member of the food program Yours for Children Inc.
Sample Menu:
Breakfast: cereal, banana, milk
Lunch: chicken, carrots, pears, noodles, milk
PM Snack: crackers w/cheese, milk
Water is offered between meals.

We wash & brush our teeth after lunch every day.

Rest Time:
A rest time is required for all children, I play clasical music at rest time every day. Each child has his or her own nap mat that is cleaned regularly. Our rest time is for 2 hours following lunch.

Communication:
I want you to know all about the great things your child did and what goes on all day at day care. To help make it easier I have started a private YAHOO GROUP for parents to read a daily message of what we have done each day as well as a place for me to post photos, updates etc. Each parent will become a member of our private group for the time you have a child at Pumpkin Patch.

Interview Process:
I prefer to hold interviews at the end of our day care day or Saturday mornings. I would be happy to visit with you and your child and answer all of your questions. A second interview is not required but if you want to come back for a visit it can be while day care is open so that you may see how the other children and I interact with each other and introduce your child to his or her new friends.

Holding Your Spot:
Your first week of daycare must be paid in full before I will consider the spot taken.
This payment is your first week payment, I do not charge a deposit or registration fee. The payment is non-refundable if you decide not to bring your child.
